Early Wins Mark Successful Beginnings

As part of JJ-Lurgi’s Go Global strategy, JJ-Lurgi India was established in August 2024 in Pune, Maharashtra.

Headed by Bhavesh Pingle, the branch office began as a one-man show and has since grown into a lively team of five. Their enthusiasm and dedication have quickly translated into success, securing projects and building a promising sales pipeline.

Despite operating in one of the most competitive markets, the company has already won key orders, emerging as a strong contributor to JJ-Lurgi’s global operations. Among the early highlights are a 100TPD Fatty Alcohol Plant for Godrej, a leader in India’s consumer goods and chemicals sector and a 300TPD Hydrogenation Plant for Adani Wilmar, one of the country’s largest players in edible oils and food processing.

“The key to our success is the great integration of global support with local ambition,” Bhavesh shared during JJ-Lurgi’s recent global gathering in Dubai. “We couldn’t have done it without the strategic direction and encouragement from our headquarters team.”

India’s economic outlook remains bright, with edible oils and oleochemicals poised for strong growth. Rising consumer demand, government initiatives to reduce import dependence and the shift towards sustainable personal and home care products are driving new opportunities. With a young population and a fast-growing manufacturing base, India is well placed to become a major hub for value-added oleochemical production in the years ahead.
